Well, as long as I can borrow them as well, I won't mind so much. I suppose Liz has more need for them than me at the moment.

Hi Liz Well i was at work when first dx as a carer ( heavy work ) I changed jobs cos i felt i was getting old not getting R.A And then worked for an agency so i said when i wanted time off . But i found i was good at some things like feeding people and i fed an old lady for over 2 years but her famlie liked a break in the mornings .Then changed it too lunch times which really did not suit me work wise and then i had them on my back as i said i was going ( she needed nursecare by then any way ) off to work for a other company only to find the ladys famlie rang the boss .And had followed me up to the place which for the agency i had been there 3 years helping out and then worked for the firm . this caused a bit of a stink as my boss was young 26 yr old .Having someone ringing up too ask if i could go and feed her mother .So i the end as i kept my name on at the agency so tectaly i had 2 jobs i just left R.A was coming on though i had no idea what it was .In the end i was off sick anyway and never gone back but i going to leave so that was the end off jobs that ruled your life .As a carer i still get ased now to work .Belive this brought on R.A VERY QUICKLEY i went from working to an old lady who could not geet out of bed So i feel much better not working .If hubbys is supporve could you leave as you would get benfits and no stress or maybe no joint pain though stress .Is it worth working ?????? Hello everyone,
I had good support from docs ~ she offered steroid injection but i chickened out ~ fear of the unknown i think ~ as im not usually worried about needles - but i do worry about side effects.... talked to my sis about this today, she's a nurse, talked pros and cons.... now thinking i will take this up and have next week as flare still continuing ~ so sore and hot :(
Hubby stressed. I have a solicitor supporting me with work situation, wont say too much as ongoing... but seems they have failed me on several levels but i just feel SO indescribably sad....... Appointment on Monday afternoon at job centre about our finances, once I'm more sorted hopsfully flare will subside and my headache that WILL not go away will disappear,
Thanks for all the advice and good wishes, Im finding concentrated breathing / meditation and music is helping stress levels, also Jenni's mohdoh inspired me to think aromatherapy ....so now got incense sticks on the go, relaxing :) thanks Jenni xxXxx Close family great, but not too many people aware how things are at the moment, I have written to my work, ran it past solicitor first, she advised i had covered points really well, she tweaked it a little and it has gone, ....dont think i am going back..... but i still want to work, so looking for something else.... :( i've had a couple of hermit-like days - ......sometimes we just need to be hermity.....
Out with some friends as pre arranged for tonight - to a free music festival locally. To be honest, i really dont want to go but Sophie and Callum (my nephew) are really looking forward to it , main stage is right by the car park so i can sit in the car if needed while they go and have a dance - its The Commitments - the singer from the film ~ should be really good, might cheer me up a little,
Have got Dire Straits - Alchemy cd on a lot - relaxing :) & I am very pleased with my tassels - they have really cheered me up! Thank You! All of you, for lifting my spirits xxXxx

pop a few pringles girl - they will help a little? Hope you're feeling better - you always have such a good way of posting - you cheer me up.
I'm with Amanda's suggestion - much as we mustn't overdo it - the odd kir royale, pimms or bloody mary - always cheers me up - or a couple of Bendicks bitter mints or hot chocolate with marshmallows - get my drift?????????!!
Lots of love Beth

Hi Liz
Just picked this up.
After all the hard time I've been having at work myself I'm feeling pretty rough too. I spent most of yesterday and today in bed . When I tried to get up up this morning my back was really bad. It's eased now and I've just had a lovely soak in the bath.
I hope things get better for you soon- both health and work wise.
Big hugs
Maria x

Lizzie
I am sorry you are having such a awful time. Having stress and RA is not a good combination. You mention that you have a bad headache that will not go away. Is it possible that it is the Sulphasalazine causing the headaches? I had to move off this medication because of the headaches.
I would definitely take up the offer of a depo injection. I think the benefits outweigh the possible side effects.
Take care
Jackie xx

Hi Liz
Just caught up with this, sorry you're feeling poorly and down. I can really relate to your work problems, I had a horrendous job that left me off work with stress, and having to retire on ill-health grounds. Not long after that I got RA. I hope you'll be able to sort out your problems.
It sounds as if you have a very supportive hubby, which is always nice. How about having a massage, or a facial? They always cheer me up, even if only for a short while. Chocs and a little drinkie is a good idea too.
I hope your appt with your doc went well, I think if you have the depo it will make you feel a whole lot better.
